AI workflows for Midwest manufacturers and industrial businesses.

I'm based in Cleveland. I'll come to your plant. I ship working systems on infrastructure you can actually maintain — built one measured workflow at a time, dropped in next to what already works, with hours-saved numbers from day one.

Who this is for

This is probably you if any of these land.

  • Your senior estimator is the only person who knows the actual margin on a tricky RFQ — and the next time he takes two weeks off, three quotes go out late.
  • You took two AI sales calls this month, walked away unimpressed, and the third one is on your calendar tomorrow.
  • You run a fabrication, machining, tooling, or distribution business doing $5M–$200M in revenue, owner-operated or family-held.
  • Your last "digital transformation" engagement ended in a binder, a six-figure invoice, and software your team never opened.

What I actually do

Four engagements. Named, priced, scoped.

Everything is fixed-price or a stated monthly retainer. If the work doesn't fit one of these shapes, the answer is probably no — and that's fine.

Workflow builds

$5K–$30K

One specific bottleneck, one working system. The most common ask: take an RFQ from email to a draft response — specs extracted, missing dimensions flagged, vendor questions queued — in under an hour instead of three days. Other common builds: inbox triage, internal knowledge retrieval, sales follow-up, technical doc generation. Scope is named upfront, not discovered halfway through. Fixed price.

AI ops retainer

$3K–$8K / month

For businesses running two or more AI-assisted workflows in production. Monthly retainer covers improvements, model swaps, prompt tuning, monitoring, and the inevitable "this stopped working when our ERP updated" call. Minimum three-month commitment so we both stop having sales conversations and start having operations conversations.

Plant visits & assessments

Flat fee

One day on-site. Walk the floor, sit with estimators and customer service, watch how the work actually flows. End the day with three written recommendations ranked by hours-saved per dollar spent, plus what to stay away from. No deck. No retainer pitch attached. If the right answer is "don't hire anyone for this," that's what the report says.

Workshops & talks

$2.5K–$5K

For trade associations, peer groups, and regional manufacturer events: a 45-minute keynote or a half-day workshop on what's actually working in Midwest plants right now — including a few that aren't. Concrete examples, real numbers, honest about what AI can't do. Travel covered within driving radius; charged outside it.

Why me, why here

Operator-to-operator. Built locally. Honest about scope.

I run an industrial company.

I'm president of Zebra Skimmers — we make industrial coolant management equipment that ships into machine shops, fabrication plants, and tool-and-die houses across the country. I sit in the same chair as the people I write for: same RFQ ambiguity, same estimator dependency, same vendors selling the same software at the same prices. The reason I started doing this work is that I wanted those tools at my own plant first.

I build, I don't just advise.

Frozen Iguanas LLC is my one-person build studio. The brands run on Cloudflare and Claude — small, owned, maintainable. When I quote you a workflow, I'm the person writing it, deploying it, and on the call when something breaks. There's no junior consultant, no offshore team, no "our engineering partner." That keeps the work honest and the prices in the ranges above.

I'm in Cleveland.

Geography is a feature. From here I can be in Akron in 40 minutes, Canton in an hour, Toledo or Pittsburgh in two, Detroit or Columbus in two and a half. Half the work happens at your plant — walking the floor, sitting with your team — and the other half ships from here. If you're inside that radius, plant visits are part of the engagement, not a billable extra.

Recent thinking

Notes on AI inside industrial businesses.

Concrete walk-throughs of workflows other Midwest plants are running, the numbers behind them, and the parts that didn't work.

    The Five-Day Quote

Your competitors aren't beating you on price. They're beating you on how fast you get back.

Occasional notes

One email every few weeks. No "AI for business owners" content-farm noise.

What I'm actually shipping for clients, what's working, what isn't, and the rare specific recommendation. Unsubscribe in one click — I don't run win-back sequences.
